About the Team
EY’s working capital team focusses on advising businesses on improving the effectiveness of their working capital processes and commercial arrangements, in order to free cash that is tied up on the balance sheet.  The team advises businesses across a broad spectrum, including FTSE 100/ Fortune 500 businesses with global footprints, smaller local businesses and businesses with an urgent need to improve cash flow due to distress.

The team is one of the leading advisers in this space and part of the world’s largest specialist cash and working capital advisory practice.

About the Role
As a Restructuring Senior Executive, you will take a senior project delivery role in addition to contributing to business development and team management.

You will take responsibility for leading teams or part of teams on engagements, depending on the scale of the engagement.  You will plan and delegate tasks to the project team, inputting knowledge and subject matter expertise, coordinating the production of deliverables to the agreed timescale and communicating progress and any issues requiring escalation to the Assistant Director / Director.

You will support business development activity by taking an active role in a number of sector teams, providing the link back to the working capital team, identifying potential new engagement opportunities and supporting the Assistant Director / Director/ Partner in pursuing them. 

As an influential member of the team, you will help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
 
Technical skills requirements
·  Displays a good understanding of the drivers of working capital performance and the potential opportunities that can be implemented to deliver improved performance
·  Able to synthesise complex issues, form initial hypothesis and identify the data required to confirm hypothesis
·  Experienced at analysing information/ data, to solve problems and formulate views and conclusions
·  Able to confidently present solutions, issues and findings in both a concise written and oral format
·  Experienced at providing detailed practical advice on overcoming business issues/ challenges, including the implementation of working capital opportunities
·  Good project management skills, ensuring the quality and consistency of performance in every task, whilst working to tight deadlines
Client responsibilities
·  Develop and maintain productive working relationships and manage the communication with day to day client contacts
·  Assist with management of the financial aspects of engagements by preparing a budget, organizing resources, monitoring engagement economics and communicating the status to the project leaders
·  Understand and manage all engagement risk requirements
·  Build strong internal relationships within Restructuring and across other services
·  Understand the capabilities of the firm, looking for opportunities to bring in other specialists and service lines to broaden engagements and achieve the best possible solution
·  Take an active role in business development activities, leveraging internal and external contacts to identify potential new client engagements and supportingthe senior team members in pursuing them
·  Identify potential sell-on opportunities and support the project leaders in pursuing these to broaden and extend live engagements
 
People responsibilities
·  Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
·  Act as an excellent role model to other team members.  Recognise strengths and weaknesses in team members and provide counselling, advice and timely feedback
·  Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
·  Demonstrate effective delegation and the ability to influence and direct team members
·  Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal and technical skills
Requirements
·  2-4 years consulting experience on finance and operational performance, or in a role within industry on day to day cash and working capital management or working capital improvement programmes
·  Supply chain management experience preferred but not essential
·  Whilst not necessary, preferred candidates will have European language skills, experience of visualisation tools including Tableau and Spotfire, or hold a professional accounting qualification
