Partner Finance Assistant - UK&I - Finance - Permanent - Newcastle

Job description

This is an opportunity to kick start your career in a fast-paced high profile finance team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. As part of the team, your role will include assisting in the maintenance of the general ledger accounts which drive the distribution of profit share amongst the UK and Irish Partners.  The role demands a can do attitude combined with exceptional IT skills, a desire to provide innovative solutions and excellent attention to detail. Your priorities will be to ensure a high quality service to the Partner, accurate and timely information to support decision making and calculations and ad hoc support across the team to ensure that all deadlines are met. 

Your Keys Responsibilities:
·  Bank reconciliation
·  Data input and cleansing
·  Reference letters
·  Transactions/Payments
·  GL – raising journals
·  Liaising with stakeholders
·  Filing of Partner information
·  Partner Capital and liaison with banks
·  Partner car scheme
·  Preparing of monthly reconciliation pack
Skills and Attributes for Success:
·  Drive to achieve excellence and great attention to detail
·  Strong numerical and communication skills
·  Ability to manage conflicting priorities through communication and prioritisation
·  Reliable team player with the ability to work closely with the other members of the team to manage and balance workload
·  Responsive and reliable in handling the many varied queries and information requests from the Partners, internal leadership and other key stakeholders.
·  Ability to function effectively when under pressure and maintain a positive mind-set

To Qualify for the Role you must have:
·  Strong excel foundations and the desire to develop existing skills
·  Skilled in appropriately prioritising tasks and workload within the team to meet the changing needs of the business and respond to ad hoc requests without losing sight of the many tasks arising from the underlying annual cycle.
·  Experience isn’t essential as long as you have a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn
