The Tax Technology Services Group is part of EY's National Tax Department. Our mission is to develop, implement, and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a manager you'll develop deeper tax technical knowledge and outstanding database and programming skills. You'll work side-by-side with the firm's clients and subject matter professionals to develop and incorporate technology solutions that increase controls and improve efficiencies.

The opportunity

Be a part of a team that helps our clients' gather, organize and analyse complex data collection efforts bringing value-added time and expertise. Currently, TTDAS works closely with clients and professionals in a variety of areas including Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital and International Tax Services.

Your key responsibilities

We'll look to you to challenge the effectiveness of the tax strategy and approach for all engagements while developing strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients and key stakeholders. You'll identify opportunities for the use of technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of federal tax services and actively participate as member of pursuit teams and client service engagement teams.

Skills and attributes for success
·  Oversee project delivery on a variety of engagements, incorporating technology to address complex tax problems
·  Help build custom tools for international, federal, and state and local tax returns
·  Develop models based upon state and local reporting and tax requirements, fixed asset analysis, and work with clients in computing their research credit
·  Prepare information reporting and withholdings, foreign bank and financial account report, foreign account tax compliance act
·  Work on base erosion profit shifting
·  Develop models to help clients automate their tax accounting calculations
·  Manage projects in a demanding, time-sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutions through the use of cross-functional teams and remote resources
·  Confirm projects have the proper scope, cost and delivery schedules.
·  Manage a team of staff and senior professionals to cultivate a collaborative and innovative work environment
·  Develop or enhance proficiency in the use of major technology tools
·  Monitor penetration and performance of technology services and communicate to leadership
·  Monitor competitive and client feedback and needs and communicate with leadership to develop appropriate responses, product or communications
To qualify for the role you must have
·  A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or technology and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience
·  CPA license or membership to a state Bar or approved technical certification
·  A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
·  Strong data analytic skills and strong communication and teaming skills
·  Experience developing and mentoring junior team members
·  Strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
Ideally, you'll also have
·  A minor or dual degree in accounting information systems
·  Experience in one or more of the following: Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Access, SQL
·  Practical or academic experience in standard process analysis tools, process mapping and flow chart diagramming
