The matters we cover
   

Working as part of the Financial Services Strategy & Transactions team, you will be involved in engagements related to transactions, involving both financial institutions and private equity clients.

Transaction assistance and due diligence (buy-side and sell-side) form the core of our proposition.  You will learn analyzing the financial and operational results and financial position of companies targeted for sale, with a focus on the appraisal of the business and a risk assessment of the transaction.

We are also playing an important role supporting our clients with their overall capital agenda. This includes multi-disciplinary engagements such as: strategic reviews of their portfolio of activities, assessment of new market entry opportunities, assessment of capital optimization levers, M&A mandates, carve-outs, or synergy identification and post-merger planning.

 
Your main tasks and responsibilities

·  You help buyers or sellers manage the M&A process, from deal sourcing through post acquisition integration
·  You work on due diligences often with multidisciplinary teams where each team member brings his or her own expertise
·  You work on financial modelling and model reviews, for instance in the context of audit support
·  You act as a first-line contact for a variety of top-class financial services clients and maintain an excellent relationship with our clients and various stakeholders
·  You participate in engagements in the Strategy practice, as well as in the wider Consulting space

Who are we looking for?

·  A Master’s Degree in Economics or related area (a specialization in Corporate Finance is an asset)
·  Solid quantitative and analytical skills
·  Fluency in Dutch and / or French, with a reading knowledge of the other national language and  high proficiency in business English
·  Excellentcommunicationskills
·  Strong team spirit and a willingness to go the extra-mile, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
·  A keen interest to learn more about the Financial Services market in Belgium and beyond.
