HR Generalist/Advisor - Sydney

Our national Talent Specialist Team is growing and we are looking for another HR Professional to join our team in Sydney! Working within our Talent Shared Services function, with colleagues based across Australia and New Zealand, you’ll get the opportunity to work on a wide range of HR matters including employee relations, business-partnering, and HR projects.

In this role you will support a high-performance culture by working closely with the business in managing any performance issues including performance improvement plans, probation terminations, and other employee relations matters. You will also support a group of HRBPs in various strategic HR initiatives as well as being involved in HR-related projects – either in a project management capacity for smaller projects or as a work-stream lead for larger pieces of work. 

 
Your key responsibilities will include:
·  Acting as a first point of contact to people managers on employee relations matters
·  Balancing commercial requirements and legal risks in providing proactive support for and case management of:
·  Intra-team  disputes
·  Absenteeism
·  Employee ill health/mental health issues
·  Advising upon and reviewing performance improvement plans, and assisting Counsellors with probation management
·  Working with HR Business Partners to provide support on strategic initiatives and talent-related projects
·  Delivering project management support and managing work-streams for key macro people processes including but not limited to LEAD, Remuneration Review, Global People Survey and Pulse Survey
·  Participating in Asia Pacific and Global projects to ensure consistency and roll-out of macro Talent processes (as appropriate) in Oceania.
·  Actively participating in projects to develop new processes and process improvements

Success will be measured through client satisfaction, meeting key service level agreements, accuracy and timeliness of delivered work, and managing risk and providing sound advice when managing employee relations cases.

 
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

This role would suit a motivated HR professional who has 2-4 years ofexperience working in a similar Human Resource generalist or support role, and who wants to take their career to the next level within a highly dynamic and progressive Professional Services firm.
