The Opportunity:

Our Corporate Services team is part of our integrated tax practice and links closely into our range of taxation services including indirect, employment and corporate tax. We can also link into tax professionals that can provide current and deferred tax provision review and preparation.

General spec plus
1 – 2 years experience of full end to end payroll processing experience across Oceania and ASEAN (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam) preferred

Specific duties/responsibilities:
•    Responsible for the end to end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end.
•    Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering/uploading data.
•    Updates payroll records by entering changes in components e.g. but not limited exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles and department/division transfers.
•    Prepares/extracts payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
•    Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other statutory payments as required.
•    Resolves payroll discrepancies/queries by collecting and analyzing information.
•    Analyses payroll information so as to answer questions and requests.
•    Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
•    Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
•    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
•    Adhoc reporting and other duties as required

Technical Skills and Qualifications:
•    Data Entry Skills
•    General Math Skills 
•    Strong communications skills, written and verbal 
•    A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, thoroughness 
•    Good team-playing skills 
•    Clear and logical thinking 
•    A respect for confidentiality
•    Payroll related diploma/certificate will be advantageous, but not necessary
•    Multi-tasking and organizational skills
•    Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines
•    Previous payroll experience in high volume, full function payroll
•    Experience using large ERP system will be advantageous but not essential
•    Intermediated to advanced Excel skills
