FSO ‒ Structured Finance Advisory Services Associate Analyst

Within our FSO, the Structured Finance Advisory Services (SFAS) team provides services to investment banks and finance issuers, supporting the entire securitization cycle across transaction, advisory and valuation matters related to all types of assets. These include asset-backed securities (ABS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage‑backed securities (CMBS) and collateralized loan obligations (CLO). Put simply, our dedicated team of SFAS professionals primarily supports our clients by helping them prepare important transaction materials for investors efficiently and without errors.
As an Associate Analyst, you’ll be based at our newly opened Service Delivery Center (SDC) in San Antonio, Texas, which is made up of high-performing US-based employees who work closely with our experienced Advisory professionals to deliver work to our Financial Services clients. As part of the SFAS team, you’ll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities as we support our clients to bring their securitization transactions to market.

That could mean using your eye for detail to catch mistakes in important transaction documents to reduce risk for our clients. It could also mean using your analytical expertise to develop or review technical models or documents, as well as directly influencing our clients through meetings and presentations. Due to the level of this work, we’ll need you to be detail-oriented, analytical and be able to follow written procedures closely, as well as be able to effectively document the results of your analysis.
Your key responsibilities:
· Delivering on a broad range of the day-to-day operational tasks essential to delivering high quality work
· Reviewing transaction documents and verifying information as accurate and complete
· Assisting in drafting agreed-upon procedures reports that will be delivered to clients
· Recalculating information on large sets of data and preparing exception reports presented to clients
· Collaborating with team lead and quality control team to ensure your work meets quality standards
· To qualify for the role you must have: A bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, finance, economics, general business or related field preferred
· Previous professional experience preferred (e.g., internship, externship)
· Strong writing skills and ability to think analytically
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and/or SharePoint) and willingness to learn firm and client specific technologies
· Enthusiasm to learn
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Flexibility, as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary to meet a client deadlines.
