Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge and Risk Management.

 

Our Risk Management team enables responsible growth through close collaboration with the business to protect EY from the risks that arise from its professional practice as well as regulatory requirements. The team works with the business to identify, monitor and manage EY's risk.

 

Job Summary:

As Fair Employment Practices Assistant Director, you will join the team responsible for the compliance actions related to the Firm’s employment practices, with a primary focus on EEO/Affirmative Action regulatory requirements. This includes supporting the Firm’s compliance posture with policies and procedures as well as federal laws and regulationsadministered by the Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) and other federal and state agencies.

 

You will prepare the annual affirmative action plan (AAP) and conduct EEO/AA reviews to identify any barriers to valuing and managing diversity inherent in the system, analyzing workforce representation, personnel activity data, and compensation data for indicators, and for conducting internal stakeholder EEO/AA briefings.

 

In this role, you will have direct responsibility for government reporting including annual EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reporting as well as the growing numbers of state and local reporting requirements. You will help with numerous compliance-related matters, such as Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and other special projects.

 

You will apply your knowledge of employment laws, anti-discrimination laws, hiring policies, and procedures, to mitigate EY’s legal liability. You will participate in development of communications and training pertaining to the firms EEO and AA initiatives and ensure compliance with changing systems and changing regulations.You will partner with key stakeholders from other functional and business organizations and provide consultation on EEO/AAP concepts as it relates to their function. This includes working with Talent Consultants on employment actions, with Recruiting on hiring processes and systems, IT Systems on data reporting, and a variety of others.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Prepare and review affirmative action plans for EY’s US offices

· 
Manage the application that supports affirmative action. Work closely with IT, providing direction on technical requirements, strategic issues, and supervising their involvement

· 
Build relationships with various internal business stakeholders on key compliance matters, to achieve stated goals  

· 
Advise sales and marketing teams, by reviewing equal employment opportunity (EEO) sections of client requests for proposals. Guide the team and the client, providing appropriate data as needed

· 
Supervise government reporting to state and federal agencies. This involves working directly with government representatives

· 
Perform and interpret various complex statistical analyses, and advise internal business stakeholders accordingly

· 
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of compliance requirements, and confirm that the Firm policies and practices comply complies with all EEO and other government legal and corporate requirements

· 
Recommend and implement new approaches, policies and procedures, to continually improve the efficiency of employment functions

· 
Serve as project manager for medium- or large-sized projects, or oversee significant portions of major or highly complex projects

· 
Lead departmental projects with minimal direction 

To qualify, candidates must have:

· 
Strong knowledge and direct experience supporting equality, US EEO/affirmative action laws and regulations, policies and procedures and DOL requirements foremployment and labor law including disability and veterans(Executive Order 11246, Section 503 and VEVRAA, UGESP and annual regulatory reporting requirements)

· 
Strong consulting skills

· 
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle several projects concurrently

· 
Excellent technology skills, especially in spreadsheets, databases and word processing applications

· 
Direct experience conducting comprehensive analysis of demographic data to support workforce trends, affirmative action compliance goals, and diversity metrics

· 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· 
A minimum of 2-4 years supervisory experience

· 
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in affirmative action design and planning, and related EEO matters

· 
A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience, HR/Recruiting preferred

· 
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Management, Labor and Employment Relations, Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience 

· 
Maintains current knowledge of government activities in the EEO/AA compliance field

·
