Job description

Job purpose:

A very strong statistical/machine learning analyst with expertise in analysing & cleansing data along with building statistical/machine learning models from scratch and expertise in SAS/SPSS/R/Python

Your client responsibilities:

· 
 Manage client’s expectations and work with team in developing the analytical solution.

·  Hands on involvement in extracting, collating, performing data integrity checks, manipulating and analyzing data
·  Hands on involvement in suggesting and building an appropriate statistical model relevant to the Lifescience, Health, Power & Utility, Retail & CPG, Financial or Insurance industry vertical
·  Documenting and presenting work to the client.

Technical skills requirements

·  The candidate should have a Bachelors degree in either Economics (econometrics) or Statistics or Engineering  or  Phd in Maths (with Strong quanititative background) or MBA (with strong quantitative background).
·  A desirable candidate should have 1-5 years of relevant experience in the field of analytics.
·  A very strong statistical/machine learning analyst with expertise in analysing & cleansing data along with building statistical/machine learning models from scratch and expertise in SAS/SPSS/R/Python.
·  Should have understanding of databases and should be able to perform SQL queries while applying appropriate sampling criteria for data extraction purpose
·  Should have understanding and experience of analytics best practices.
·  Excellent business communication, Consulting, Quality process skills.

·  Must be a team player.

Specific Role requirements

·  Should have hands-on experience on supervised and un-supervised machine learning techniques.
·  Should have hands-on experience in statistical modelling and testing area
·  Advanced level programming ability using SAS, R, or Python.
·  Knowledge on SPSS would be added secondary skill.
·  Should have hands-on experience in handling large datasets and should be familiar with models using—linear regression, logistic regression, ANOVA/ANCOVA, optimization techniques, time series modelling, segmentation, decision tree, clustering and simulation based analysis.
·  The candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills, presentation & documentation skills, flexibility & adaptability and ability to work in a team environment.
·  A team player and demonstrated ability / experience in client relationship management for at least two years are required.
·  Prior experience in implementing NLP and Text Mining an added advantage.
