EY CFO consulting is assisting banking and insurance companies to address challenges within the finance domain.  We assist our clients on a wide variety of topics such as accounting and regulatory reporting, finance transformation (process optimization, target operating model and system implementation) and more innovative topics such as use predictive analytics in support of business planning and the use of interactive dashboarding to enhance management reporting (digital Boardroom).

Providing fast and accurate insight to evaluate the organization’s strategy and the risks it faces is increasingly critical.

The opportunity
To strengthen our growing CFO Consulting team, we are looking for people with experience in financial, regulatory and/or management reporting in insurance to join our team.
As manager Insurance Reporting , you will work directly with clients in the insurance sector to help them to respond to stakeholders’ expectations with respect to financial, regulatory and management reporting (content, compliance, efficiency, quality and controls) . We expect you to coach junior staff, ensure qualitative delivery of our projects and  build good relationships with the client. You will have a great opportunity to expand your reporting knowledge and skills, and will frequently work with other EY-teams such as our Actuarial, our Data & Analytics, our Transactions and our Technology & Innovation team.

Your responsibilities

·  Contribute to delivery of client projects
·  Conduct analyses on accounting and regulatory reporting fact patterns
·  Assist our clients in improving their reporting processes
·  Provide technical advice to ad-hoc queries from clients and internal staff as needed

          

To qualify for the role you must have

·  Between 3 and 10 years of relevant experience, in financial (Belgian Gaap / IFRS), regulatory (Solvency II) or management reporting in insurance
·  Knowledge of USGAAP, Solvency II and/or IFRS 17 is a plus
·  Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
·  Solid communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
·  Ability to translate complex topics into clear, comprehensible communication to a broad audience
·  Proficient level of business English and fluent in Dutch/French
