Work closely with executives responsible for creating and driving data driven solutions within EY and our clients. 

Key Responsibilities

As a data scientist you will work with a team of data scientists to build econometric and machine learning models to identify causation and create predictability in key areas, such as revenue forecasting, employee attrition and experience, and understanding our clients,which will provide key inputs to critical businesses processes.  Under the guidance of senior team members, you will participate in the design, development, and implementation of statistical models. You will build reports, produce insightful analytics, communicate findings and share technical subject matter clearly and concisely with senior business leaders. You will develop and maintain programming for data pipeline, perform data exploration, work on model testing, improve model performance, and achieve model optimization. Along with team members, you will periodically review statistical forecasts, evaluate model performance, and address statistical modelling issues.

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, analytical thinkers with a passion for analytics and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of statistical methods (particularly time-series forecasting), and experience applying data analysis techniques to manipulate and analyze complex data from various sources. The candidate will be driven to take on challenges, have passionate curiosity, and provide creative solutions on a wide range of business issues/topics, and be able to adapt to ambiguous and changing challenges.  The skills and attributes key to this role include:

·  Experience using econometric and machine learning tools for forecasting
·  Familiarity with open source data analysis and modelling tools (R/Python)
·  Ability to build data pipelines that transform multiple datasets with real-world messiness to organized information that is fit for statistical analysis
·  A passion for continuous learning
·  An aptitude todive deep on technical challenges and work throughambiguity to move from concept to solution
·  Critical thinker – practical application of advanced concepts to enhance business performance
·  The ability to inspire confidence in senior business leaders by simplifying complex concepts and analysis
·  Passion for data, analytics, modeling and cutting-edge algorithms
Minimum Requirements
·  Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative field
·  Experience manipulating, transforming, and analyzing complex data
·  Experience in time-series econometrics for both big and small data
·  Experience in machine learning modelling and interpretation
·  Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate across multiple levels in the organization
·  At least one year of post-graduate experience
·  Familiarity with one or more programming languages used for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization: R, Python, Stata, SAS, Julia.
Ideal Additional Experience
·  PhD in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative field
·  Two or more years of experience in consulting, business, or government
·  Familiarity with SQL and common relational database tools
·  Familiarity with one or more common visualization tools: Tableau, Power Bi.
