The opportunity

As part of the Data Governance team, you will work towards implementing Data Governance policies and process as defined within the Data Governance Framework. You will employ methods and standards to maintain high quality data across environments and provide insights by assessing and reporting on critical data.

Your key responsibilities
The role is an internal role, working with EY Oceania Partners, staff and systems. Support the Oceania Data Governance Manager, working within the Records and Data Governance group.

The role of a Data Analyst will include conducting Data Assessment against compliance, reporting results and highlighting insights across large volumes of data. The analyst will also contribute to improving current Data management processes, manage risks and drive value driven results.
 
Skills and attributes for success
·  Identify and Manage Data according to the scope and direction provided by the Data Governance team.
·  Create charts to provide the clearest/optimal view that enables stakeholders to make data driven decisions.
·  Identify redundant, obsolete and trivial data to facilitate efficiencies in search, system performance and tiered archive management.
·  Participate in data management activities and identify and report on unusual transactions/data.
·  Maintain processes for checking data integrity; monitor and maintain data for quality and standardisation.
·  Conducting regular audits to assess quality of data in line with policy and client requirements making recommendations for improvement.
·  Ensure that all data is entered into designated systems accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
·  Support the implementation and maintenance of Record Retention policy, and where relevant the data governance framework.
·  Support system provisioning / decommissioning.
·  Support data migration (ETL), activities.
To qualify for the role you must have
·  Qualifications
·  Sound knowledge of Data Analyst concepts and their pragmatic application
·  Performance and productivity reporting
·  High attention to detail and accuracy
·  Driven and motivated approach to improving systems and processes
·  Clearly and effectively communicate across a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
·  Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
·  Demonstrate initiative and work autonomously
·  Prior experience in delivery Data Migration and/or Data Governance Projects.
·  Previous experience in defining and creating dashboards for Data Visualisation and Reporting.
·  Eye for identifying patterns and matches that drive key data insights.
·  Previous experience in Control Point and HPE Content Manager would be beneficial but not mandatory

·  Experience
·  Beginner to intermediate understanding SQL: Should be able to write procedures, performance tune queries and define functions.
·  Advanced Excel (Macros, VBA, .NET etc) : Must be able to write Macro queries and run VB or .Net codes.        
·  Reporting: Prior experience in Reporting solutions such as SSRS, Power BI etc.
·  Data Migration & Governance: Prior experience in document migration and data governance will be beneficial.
