EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

Client Technology (CT) -focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY toidentify new technology-based opportunities faster, and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) – EWTsupports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.  

Analytics – Scrum Master

There’s no argument that as technology has evolved, many business operations have become simpler and more efficient. Intelligent, data-driven conclusions are being made on a scale never seen before — but as this technology escalates, so too does the need to stay one step ahead of the competition. As an IT professional within EY Client Technology – EY’s technology enablement services organization - you’ll play a key role in that mission, driving collaboration and improving the delivery of business solutions for client service.

The Shared Business Platform (SBP) function within EY Client Technology is responsible for the establishment and operation of enterprise technology platforms in support of cross-service line, client-facing business solutions. The Scrum Master will work on projects defined by EY Technology’s Shared Business Platforms portfolio, initially assigned to one of EY’s strategic transformation initiatives, the EY Data Agenda. Within this context, the Scrum Master will be responsible for successfully executing projects prescribed by the Data Agenda, using Lean-Agile techniques and methods. Candidates are required to possess excellent knowledge and deep experience of agile delivery methods, as well as industry-recognized certification (Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe certification).

Essential Functions of the Job:
·  Successfully execute projects to agreed schedule, budget and scope using Agile methodologies (Lean, DevOps, Scrum)
·  Exhibits the behaviors of an Agile Leader with an Agile Mindset
·  Challenge the old norms of development in order to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity
·  Facilitates Agile ceremonies such as the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, System Demos, and Iteration Retrospective
·  Support the Product Owner to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy intra-team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
·  Focus on ever-improving team dynamics and performance. Helps the team manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Escalates people problems to management where necessary
·  Communicates with management and outside stakeholders. Helps protect the team from uncontrolled injection of work
·  Enables close cooperation across all roles and functions; addresses resource issues and deviation from Agile practices
·  Applies Lean-Agile practices, such built-in quality, Kanban, continuous integration and continuous deployment
·  Removes impediments so the team can focus on the work at hand and follow Agile practices
·  Work within defined governance processes
·  Manage external contracts and suppliers, where required
·  Ensures that quality project standards are met as prescribed by EY Client Technology through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
·  Proactively identifies risks and issues; and implement the most appropriate solution
·  Possesses advanced analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage multiple – often conflicting – demands on a project, simultaneously
·  Applies superior business knowledge/understanding to manage and meet sponsor and customer needs
·  Identifies potential points of contention for missed deliverables; creates and implements strategy to mitigate shortfalls in timeline and budget
·  Identifies unstated customer expectations
·  Escalates to management/governance, as appropriate
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
·  Experience of managing Agile projects and personal accountability for delivering projects to time and cost
·  Expertise in project management and Agile methodology, tools, techniques and templates
·  Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust and delivering on promises
·  Experience establishing cloud-enabled platforms on Microsoft Azure, including implementing IaaS and PaaS capabilities focused on data management, storage and analytics
·  Experience employing DevOps techniques, including continuous integration and continuous deployment
·  Skills to manage one or more agile teams / projects simultaneously
·  Knowledge and use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques (Kanban, velocity charts, control charts, burn-down metrics etc)
·  Strong team working skills across client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
·  Strong communication and inter-personal skills including negotiation
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
·  Demonstrates commitment to IT methodologies, processes and standards for project management / Agile methodology
Supervision Responsibilities:
·  Demonstrated experience in managing teams
·  Coaches, mentors and supports team members, as needed
Other Requirements:
·  Extended and unsociable hours may be required to meet target schedule dates
Job Requirements:

Education:
·  A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
Experience:
·  10+  years in a corporate IT environment
·  3+ years of experience in Scrum Master, Agile Lead or similar role
Certification Requirements:
·  Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe-certified
·  Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP)
