Job description

Our CCaSS team seeks to build a better working world by helping businesses and governments respond to societal, environmental and economic challenges. They help businesses understand and evaluate the broader value impacts and outcomes associated with their organizations, operations, programs and projects. Our global team is multidisciplinary and combines our core knowledge in accounting and reporting with knowledge in technical and regulatory sustainability issues.

 

Our teams help clients improve and report on their sustainability performance. Specifically, we help clients manage emerging risks, and reduce costs through the design and implementation of systems and processes and leverage opportunities in areas such as climate change, health and safety, labor rights, nonfinancial reporting, supply chain and environmental management.

 

The opportunity

 

We are expanding our MENA CCaSS CoE in Karachi, Pakistan, providing an opportunity to work on MENA projects and deal with MENA clients. This can provide lots of learning and development prospects as well as the chance to travel to the MENA region. 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

In this role you’ll work directly with a wide range of clients across several industries to assess the impact of new accounting standards, proposed transactions or other regulatory changes. Specifically you’ll build and maintain strong networks internally and externally in order to grow the pipeline of CCaSS work, report directly to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners at the planning, execution and wrap-up stages of CCaSS engagements, coach and mentor junior team members and conduct performance review by contributing to performance feedback for staff and ensure work is of a high quality, delivered in a timely fashion and in compliance with EY policies.

 

Working with other EY locations, service lines and specialists to deliver a fully integrated service offering is integral, as is monitoring engagement economics against key financial metrics and managing the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

 

You’ll be expected to identify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client, consult with appropriate resources on complex accounting issues, ensure that the CCaSS work products meet the needs and expectations of clients are clear, accurate and well presented, ensure work is delivered timely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and deliver effective execution of the CCaSS service delivery framework.

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

·  Minimum of two years of experience in a position focused on sustainability advisory
·  Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, for example engineering or environmental science
·  Understanding of the key energy, green building and sustainability issues and drivers and how they link to business value
·  Proven track record of project management and delivery - in particular large-scale consulting engagements around sustainability. Prior consulting experiences an advantage
·  Deep understanding of sustainability best practices in areas of transformation, supply chain, digitization, business model innovation and value measurement
·  Exceptional commercial and leadership skills combined with entrepreneurial mind set
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment, managing team members to successfully deliver projects
·  Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills
