Actuary, People Advisory Services (Rewards) (Senior) (Multiple Positions) , Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.
Provide actuarial services including pension valuations, benefit certifications, and various government reports for a variety of clients. Work on diverse actuarial engagements ranging from retirement plan valuations, forecasting, special studies, plan design and mergers and acquisitions. Participate in client meetings and work within a team environment to deliver fully integrated benefit services to clients. Demonstrate an understanding of actuarial concepts and actively pursue increased actuarial knowledge through client assignments and actuarial exams. Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, and 2 years of related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, and 1 year of related work experience. Experience may be gained as part of the required education, including co-op and/or internship experience.
Must have 1 year of pension actuarial experience, including pension valuations, benefit calculations, and mergers and acquisitions.
Must have 1 year of actuarial experience supporting financial statement audits and providing accounting disclosures under U.S GAAP.
Must have 1 year of project management experience, including planning, and reporting.
Must have 1 year of experience writing and presenting technical information to clients or senior management.
Must be eligible to obtain ASA or Enrolled Actuary certification within two years of hire.
Travel required up to 10%, to serve client needs.
