2018 September Intake - Graduate - UKI People Advisory Services - Mobility & Reward - Leeds

  • Leeds, UNITED KINGDOM

Job description

The world continues to change as a result of developments in globalisation, demographics, technology and regulation. These disruptive forces require organisations to change rapidly – and they need their people to be agile and adaptable to that change and the future world of work. At the same time it’s getting harder to source, manage, motivate and retain talent while controlling costs.

Our People Advisory Services (PAS) practice assist our clients in understanding and addressing some of their most complex people related challenges. We help them to harness their people agenda as part of an integrated business strategy to gain a competitive people advantage – the right people, with the right capabilities, in the right place, for the right cost, doing the right things, and ultimately improve and drive sustainable business results.

We have opportunities across UK & Ireland and Financial Services within PAS across our regions in the following specialism:

Mobility

Our Mobility services helps clientsmanage the complex compliance, reporting and risks inherent in deploying a globally mobile workforce. We place great importance on providing valuable tax planning advice in order to facilitate the most cost effective and efficient operations for our clients.

We can help clients manage a mobile workforce by looking at their global tax affairs to include tax advice and compliance services, to providing global compensation services to ensure worldwide compensation, as well as managing our clients’ relocation processes to include immigration compliance.

We provide a number of services to clients across the following teams; Mobility Tax, Global Compensation Services, Assignment Services, International Social Security and Global Immigration. In Financial Services PAS, you will start your career at EY in Mobility Tax.

Reward

Our  Reward  services help clients address the range of issues that are associated with reward strategies, talent programs and maintaining workforce effectiveness. To reach its potential, an organization must continuously improve its performance — and sustain that improvement.

We can help clients optimize these particular business areas by looking at the entire lifecycle of a mobile workforce from advice on recruitment (use of employees, contractors, etc.), to the provision of benefits to their employees, executive compensation, as well as advising them on all employee reward and employment tax compliance aspects in the UK and globally.

We combine providing advice to clients around tax efficiencies such as share schemes and salary sacrifice, with assistance in ensuring global compliance with the increasing tax and related regulation around the world.

As a graduate in our Mobility or Reward teams you will study for the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification. Once you are ATT examined you will have the option to proceed to the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification. Depending on your specialisation, some of our graduates in Reward may proceed to a study towards a Masters degree in Human Resources.

To help you achieve your career goals, you’ll be assigned a personal counsellor and receive the encouragement of, and exposure to, senior members of our organisation. This will allow you to shape your career and achieve your potential.

Skills and attributes for success:

We look for graduates who are inquisitive, analytical, ambitious and great at working with people. You’ll need to be a good team player and demonstrate the potential to become a future business leader. You will need to be prepared to challenge us, to act on your own initiative and to make an impact on our teams and clients from day one.

To qualify for the role you must have:
