EY Degree Apprenticeship in Business Leadership and Management Practice
 
Are you bright, ambitious and business minded? Do you want to gain a valuable degree in management whilst working? Would you like to develop the knowledge and skills to become a competent manager and leader in the workplace? The Opportunity
 
We recently launched Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship roles for Apprentices in our Managed Services team. Apprentices will study towards the Business Leadership and Management Practice BA (Hons) Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship over three years, through a new partnership with Northumbria University.

You will spend one day per week during the academic term studying with your colleagues at the university, as well time working as part of our Managed Services hub in Newcastle, with a competitive starting salary.

What is Managed Services?
 
Our Managed Services hub in Newcastle helps leading financial institutions respond to fast-changing regulations and reporting requirements.

Our expansion means there are opportunities within Managed Services where you will gain hands-on experience of client work, engaging on projects including:
·  Advising on the financial and reputational implications of regulation in the financial services industry
·  Conducting suitability reviews for customer investments
·  Working to identify remedial action needed to fill data gaps for firms prior to producing reports for tax authorities
·  Help and guidance on how they can protect assets and minimise business disruption caused by breaches in cyber security, as they continue to utilise new technologies

Your key responsibilities
·  Project management including team support, updates on progress and communications
·  Maintain client confidentiality and ensure data security at all times

To qualify for the role you must have
 
If you are currently at school/college, you must be completing 3 A levels, 5 Highers or equivalent qualifications, in advance of the programme start date in September 2018.

If you are now working, you must have attained 3 A levels, 5 Highers or equivalent qualifications.

To be considered for enrolment in the EY Degree Apprenticeship, a government accredited apprenticeship, you must satisfy the following requirements at the time of commencing your apprenticeship:
·  16 years old or over
·  Not in full-time education
·  Not in receipt of government funding for further education, higher education or learning support
·  UK/EEA Nationality or Permanent Residency Status and have resided in the UK/EEA for at least 3 years prior to starting your apprenticeship 
If you already hold a qualification, or have completed an apprenticeship, at the level of this apprenticeship or higher, the skills you will obtain through this apprenticeship must be substantially different to the learning and skills you have already obtained.

Please note that these eligibility criteria are defined by the UK government and may be subject to change from time to time.

You must ensure you have assessed your eligibility to join an EY apprenticeship scheme, against the above criteria, before commencing the application process. Should you be offered an EY apprenticeship your offer will be contingent upon you meeting the government’s apprenticeship eligibility criteria. Failure to do so will result in you being unable to commence employment and the associated apprenticeship with EY.
