The project is a 35-year mandate for the operation and maintenance of a critical district heating and cooling plant network servicing governmental buildings in the Ottawa and Gatineau area. job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Technical Coordinator will act as a liaison and interface between the operations team and the technical services team in order to determine the client's functional, operational and contractual needs as well as support the operations team in all aspects of engineering and technology. Engie must deploy a new digital platform and operate five (5) existing heating and cooling plants.

He/she will then work closely with the development team to translate these functional requirements into technical ones meeting our customer's needs. The incumbent of this position will ensure the proper deployment of Engie's digital solutions and act as the technical reference for the operations team.

Responsibilities:

·  Work closely with various analysts, architects, developers and other stakeholders to understand the operational needs of our customer;
·  Ensure a good understanding of the functional requirements of our customer;
·  Coordinate closely with the Montreal digital team to ensure requirements are properly identified;
·  Ensure the correct translation of these functional requirements into technical requirements according to the technical specifications of our digital platform;
·  Ensure a smooth deployment of our digital platform to our customer;
·  Train Engie staff and partners on how to use the digital solution;
·  Set up change management processes to ensure a seamless transition to Engie's digital platform;
·  Thoroughly document the analyses carried out;
·  Plan and coordinate testing (UAT) before deploying the solution to the customer;
·  Support the integration of the digital solution with other enterprise software;
·  Continually seek out feedback from operations to enhance the digital solution platform;
·  Create the proper data sets and data cubes to allow for the generation of various multi-source reports and dashboards;
·  Act as the technical reference for CHP equipment replacement, repair, operations and efficiency;
·  Act as technical lead for new life cycle analysis and its projects;
·  Act as a technical reference for Innovate Energy's major project and its implication and CHP operations;
·  Act as the reference for modelling software implementation and operations, including network operations efficiency analysis;
·  Work with technicians for instrumentation, controls and programming needs and improvements for all CHP equipment;
·  Work with technicians to improve Standard Operating Procedures;
·  Work with subcontractors and other staff to answer to any technical and operational related questions and resolve issues;
·  Coordinate activities between the CMMS, Energy Management Software and Building Automation teams;
·  Coordinate with all stakeholders to answer to any incoming technical and operational issues.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
·  Strong reporting skills (Jasper Soft experience, Microsoft reporting Services experience)
·  Strong ETL skills
·  Knowledge of PowerBI ;
·  Experience with heating plant operations and engineering;
·  Experience with BMS or DCS software and hardware;
·  Strong analytical skills.
·  Very good communication skills
·  Good knowledge of databases (table structure, relational data modeling, cardinality... etc.)
·  Proficient with Microsoft Excel ;
·  Knowledge of SQL language ;
·  Knowledge of IT infrastructure ;
·  Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written);
·  Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time;
·  Knowledge of Planon software or any other CMMS (asset).
