Engie have an exciting new contract opportunity to supply 6 Security Officers/Concierges, based in Cheshire West and Chester. These are 12-month Fixed Term full time roles, working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £10.00 per hour.

Locations will be:
Wyvern House, The Drumber, Winsford, CW7 1AH
Nicholas House, 1, Black Friars, Chester, CH1 2NU
Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BE



Shift Patterns will be:
Monday to Friday: 8 hours per day:7 am to 3:30 pm or 11:30 am to 8 pm

General Overview:

The role of the Security Officers /Concierges is to provide a high quality and effective Security Service tailored to meet the needs of the individuals who use or work across Cheshire West and Chester and delivered by well-trained and motivated staff. Working within a small team, provide a security service that ensures the safety and security of staff and visitors within our buildings, whilst also ensuring we deliver excellent customer care. Security Officers /Concierges are responsible for assisting their manager in the organisation, development, and maintenance of Security services provided to the clients.Flexibility will be required for holidays cover at all sites

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

Deliver the day to day Security

· 
Completion of all incident databases

· 
Monitor Lost Property Register and ensure that the procedure is adhered to at all times

· 
Assist in liaison, and negotiation where appropriate, with other Managers / Senior Nursing Staff regarding type, extent and quality of the Security service

· 
Liaise on a regular basis with other services and tenants in order to brief and be briefed on all aspects appertaining to the provision of the security services

· 
Ensure all appropriate locking and unlocking procedures on buildings are carried out

· 
Ensure regular patrols of the sites are carried out as a deterrent against theft or vandalism

· 
Provide a security service provision for all the key stakeholders

· 
Provide reception services as part of the wider security function

· 
Manage customer issues and act in a friendly and positive manner when dealing with customers

· 
Security and protection of all staff and visitors

· 
Familiarise and adhere to any Local Operating Procedures at all times

· 
Carry out the appropriate locking and unlocking procedures on buildings.

· 
Regularly patrol the sites as a deterrent against theft or vandalism and ensuring a presence is felt whist not being intimidating

· 
Respond to any requests for assistance with violent and aggressive situations

· 
Respond to all Fire alarm activation acting as a fire warden

· 
Respond to a Major Incident instigation, including the placing of signage, access control, the setting up of the Major Incident Control Centre.

· 
Safe release of passengers stuck in a lift, due to lift break-down

· 
Retrieval and disposal of used needles where identified

· 
Undertake any other duties relating to security or wider customer care

· 
Management of Lost & Found Property, record and provide a safe custody of all Lost and Found Property.

· 
Complete Safety Prevention Visits (SPV’s) in line with the company schedule

· 
Monitor the car park entry and exit barriers between 0800hrs and 1700hrs every day. Liaise with any member of the staff or the public who is having difficulty negotiating the barriers

· 
Keep accurate reports of staff entering/leaving/parking inappropriately where required

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience: 

· 
A full valid SIA licence

· 
Competent in the use of two-way radio system

· 
Good verbal communication skills

· 
Good written communication skills

· 
Provide information to Visitors and staff

· 
Competent in the use of the telephone

· 
Computer literate

· 
Competent in the use of CCTV systems

· 
Comply with Data Protection and GDPR

· 
Competent in the use of the door access systems

· 
Familiar with response procedure for Alarm monitoring systems

· 
Respond to fire alarm activation, ensuring site access is clear and duties of a fire warden

· 
Competent in fire alarm panel re-setting procedure

· 
Competent in reprogramming of alarms

· 
Reception experience would be preferable .


The successful candidates will Successfully complete the Physical Intervention training and annual two-day update training. This training is mandatory and failure to achieve the required standard would result in dismissal
