Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Security Officer to be based in Olympic Park, Stratford, London, E20 2ST.

 

This is a zero-hour role (Working 08:00-20:00 or 20:00-08:00 shifts as required) and on offer will be a salary of £11.00 per hour.  This role will report into the Duty Security Manager.

 

To be successful in this role you must provide the following:

·  Minimum of 3 year history of employment (including information which can be verified for any gaps)
·  If you do not have 3 years previous employment, a professional reference must be provided (obtained from a Medical Practitioner, Officer of the Armed Forces, Teacher, Lecturer, Lawyer, Bank Manager, Civil Servant etc)
·  Proof of identity & eligibility to work in the UK which must include :
·  Photographic I.D - Passport or Driving Licence.
·  Passport and all relevant work permits
·  or NI Number information / proof and full Birth certificate
·  If no legal photographic documentation is owned then a passport photo which has been signed and verified by any of the above professionals will be required. This needs to show their title, signature and contact details.
·  2 proofs of address from within the last 3 months (i.e. council tax bill, bank statement, utilities bills).
·  Any required qualifications or driving licence if required for the role.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

·  Ensure a smart and professional image is displayed at all time
·  Assisting the general public and those that visit the QEOP with any queries, problems or issues.
·  To be aware of security key standards.
·  Ensure enforcement with park rules and by-laws
·  Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively through to completion on the incident reporting system
·  Monitor and allocate hot works permits
·  Control of lost property receipts
·  Engaging and managing contractor access to the Park
·  Ensure standards of dress, safety and presentation are maintained within the QEOP at all times
·  Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls following our standards.  Take accurate messages if necessary.
·  Show and initiate initiative where possible
·  To adapt to any incident within the QEOP in a professional manner and manage it accordingly
·  Provide a visual deterrent to criminality, gang activity and anti social behaviour.

·  Relevant industry experience while not essential is preferred, although it is expected that the candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the unique features of the industry including licensing
·  Experience of working in a high profile public space environment
·  Experience of working in a multi cultural environment
·  Knowledge of Op Griffin, Argus and Fairway (Preferably completed training in the past)
·  Has the ability to contribute toward a team’s operation or can work on his own initiative
·  Able to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels within the organisation
·  Complete working knowledge of all systems
·  A comprehensive working knowledge of all processes and procedures
·  A decisive and assertive decision maker who can interpret situations to proceed with a prioritised action plan that achieves the results required
·  Events/Crowd management experience
·  Excellent report-writing and analytical skills with attention to detail
·  Excellent organisational and time management skills
·  A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
·  Excellent computer literacy For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. There is no re-location package with this job role.
