Environment

You will work in the Risk and Safety Management team of Tractebel. This team provides consultancy regarding safety during the full life cycle of assets for the industrial sectors in which Tractebel is active.

The experts of this team work for a variety of Clients. You will work as safety coordinator in construction projects in the domain of (nuclear) energy, gas and infrastructure. As part of a team, you can always count on the expertise and support of your colleagues. Several tools and methods are developed and are available to perform the job. During the preparation of the design you will work in one of our Tractebel offices (Brussels, Gent, Antwerp, Hasselt, Namur) while during the execution stage of projects, you will work directly at the construction site.

Your function
·  As safety coordinator (project preparation and execution) you will work on projects that are covered under the temporary or mobile construction sites legislation (Royal Decree 25-01-2001).
·  As expert in the management of construction site safety you can be asked to perform consulting missions on international construction sites (audits, inspections, advice, independent review).
·  You will assist our Clients from project preparation to execution in:
·  Organising the management of the coordination risks for the construction site.
·  Defining the safety measures and prevention rules for the constructions activities.
·  You will work and communicate with the different involved parties (client, project supervisor, contractors).
·  You will open and keep up to date the coordination instruments as defined in the legislation: Health and Safety Plan, coordination logbook and post intervention file.

·  You dispose of a Master's degree in engineering. A qualification as safety coordinator level A or prevention advisor level 1 + complementary module safety coordination is a must.
·  You dispose of at least 3 years' experience in a similar function.
·  You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
·  You consider quality of work as a main priority and are willing to respect the requirements of the Tractebel quality management system.
·  You communicate and report efficiently in an open and honest way. Reporting is an important part of the job.
·  You are well organized and can set priorities.
·  You are a team player. You are flexible and can adapt your work methods to the specific context of the different projects.
