Project Scheduler

The working environment


The “Nuclear Engineering Management” department focusses on the management of the internal engineering activities delivered by various competence centres working on Engie Electrabel, international and third parties projects. It is in charge of the technical & layout coordination, of the engineering tools & methods like planning, drawings and the Building Interface Modelling, of the contract management and of the animation of the Contract Owners community of practice.

The “Project Support Office” group is part of the “Nuclear Engineering Management” department.

The group is responsible to define scheduling & planning coordination guidelines and to support the projects or tenders managed by the Nuclear Entity by providing skilled Project Schedulers. The projects are related to the modification of existing nuclear power plants, from the pre-feasibility studies to final commissioning of the installations, and to the development of new nuclear reactors.


Your function

·  You will immediately be involved in specific projects. You will manage the overhaul time schedule and report on these projects according to defined guidelines, in close relationship with the Project Managers.
·  To lead the scheduling activities as well as to efficiently support the project, you will actively participate in the identification, the definition and the management of the different project tasks and their interfaces (tasks interfaces between the contractors, the contractors and the owner, the authorities and the owner …), with a particular focus on the management & coordination of our engineering activities.
·  To achieve this target, you will develop a good understanding of the project tasks, from its initiation to the commissioning, through the studies, the procurement, the fabrication and the erection processes. You will build a sufficiently detailed schedule allowing you to appropriately monitor the progress of the on going activities while preventing mismatches between project tasks. You will periodically analyse planning evolutions, identify the potential impacts on the project schedule and propose necessary & feasible adaptations.
·  You will join a dedicated “Project Support” team. You will be in permanent contact with Tractebel ENGIE's teams and Clients. You will report on schedule and progress to your different Project Managers.

Your profile

·  You are preferably engineer with technical knowledge and background in power plants or in design engineering projects. General knowledge of nuclear installations is an asset;
·  You have at least 5 years of professional experience in scheduling of industrial/engineering/construction projects;
·  You have knowledge of and relevant experience with Microsoft Project. Primavera is an asset;
·  You are result driven, proactive, take initiatives and lead your activities with a critical mind;
·  You have the ability to work autonomously and to develop pragmatic solutions with regular reporting;
·  You are team player, good listener and communicator;
·  You have good spoken, writing and reading skills in English. Knowledge of both French and Dutch country languages is preferred;
·  You are eligible to the Nuclear Security Clearance;
