Project Electrician - Sizewell B Power Station

Job description

Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Project Engineer to be based in Sizewell B Power Station, Nr Leiston, Suffolk IP16 4UR. These are on a temporary basis, on a fixed term contract for 12 months. The roles are full time working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 14:00. On offer is a competitive salary.

General Overview:

To lead & motivate the Embedded operatives and sub-contractor operatives on Sizewell “B”. Must be an effective team leader focused on customer care with a “can do” attitude, with the flexibility and adaptability to lead the team in a changing business environment.
Ensure that all third party contractors who carry out work on the site associated with Project work do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by the relevant Company procedures and site specific procedures where applicable.

Technical Competences:

·  A level of competence commensurate with understanding the technical challenges faced by all disciplines
·  Experience with a record of delivery in a supervisory roles with sub-contractors
·  Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience in introducing new ideas and approaches within the team
·  Ability to lead a team and communicate across all levels working within performance management systems
·  Experience of developing operational teams, focused on service delivery
·  Sound understanding of H&S, Environment and QA procedures
·  IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications and other information management systems Industry Qualifications Required (Dependant on Operational requirements):

·  Rounded educational background – likely to include 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent)
·  Apprenticeship with a minimum of ONC, or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering Workplace Solutions / EDF Training Requirements:
