Title of Internship: Project Development, US Wind

Purpose
ENGIE is committed to reshaping the energy future through the global implementation of a lower carbon energy economy in order to preserve the world's natural resources. We are looking for talented and driven people who are committed to making the vision a reality.

The candidate will support a broad range of pre-construction development activities on projects within Engie's portfolio of utility-scale wind assets across the United States. Candidate will work on discrete tasks at the direction of Project Developers to support land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, wind resource evaluation, and other aspects of wind energy project development to ultimately fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America.

Status
Hourly – Non-exempt

Essential Job Functions
·  Support development activities of utility-scale wind energy projects from feasibility to the start of construction
·  Engage with staff to advance energy assessment, environmental, permitting, transmission interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities
·  Assist in permit application preparation and attend hearings, as needed
·  Submit project data to various agencies for due diligence review
·  Review and summarize third party consultant reports
·  Maintain database, tracking project progress
·  Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·  Detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue required information.
·  Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks.
·  Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences, including landowners, potential offtakers, government officials, and corporate leaders.
·  Results-oriented professional with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with the various cross-functional employee groups.
·  Strong desire to advance the adoption and deployment of renewable energy solutions across North America.
·  Familiar with mechanics of land easements/leases

Essential Physical Abilities

·  Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
·  Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
·  Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
·  Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
·  Could involve some lifting.

Education/Experience

·  Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Business Administration or Economics preferred.
·  Previous project management or renewable energy development experience preferred.
