General Overview

ENGIE are looking for a Power BI developer with a strong focus on administering a PowerBI dedicated capacity and creating optimised Power BI workspaces delivering data visualisations across all ENGIE UK divisions.

ENGIE UK has a fledgling Power BI Dedicated Capacity and the successful applicant will build data visualisations for IT senior management, assist ENGIE UK in building a governance model around the use of Power BI (ensuring data security and privacy rules are followed) and will assist self-serve business users in creating optimised workspaces.

Primarily you will be enhancing the ENGIE UK use of Power BI, and will also work as part of the Windermere programme team who are establishing a UK wide AWS S3 data lake on which to base the data services of the future.

You will also create and administer the Power BI gateway, and be key in contributing to data warehouse design, architecture and process. Strong stakeholder management will be required for maintaining relationships with our business users to clarify and influence requirements.

You will be able to demonstrate you are quality-focused to ensure that the solutions are built to an appropriate standard whilst being balanced with a drive to deliver against tight deadlines. This is a UK wide role and the Data Office team is key to delivering on ENGIE's strategy of a zero-carbon transition and becoming a data-driven company.

Working as part of the Windermere programme team you will be expected to monitor and enhance the existing use of Power BI while influencing the evolution of business and system requirements and contribute to the design of future data services as ENGIE UK delivers its business transformation toward becoming a data-driven company.

You will be required to monitor and scale up the Power BI dedicated premium capacity for ENGIE UK while working with users to migrate existing published content from standard to premium capacities. You will be required to contribute to the Windermere programme advising on the design of the data warehouse to allow self-service data visualisation to flourish.

Project work is varied in size and complexity but normally focussed on the expansion or improvement of the data warehouse and you will be expected to contribute to several concurrent initiatives, sometimes working alone on the smaller work items.

Every day brings a new set of challenges as the demands and priorities of our business fluctuate.
