Job description

ENGIE are recruiting a Plumber to be based on the Barnsley Schools contract. This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is competitive salary along with an excellent benefits package.

You will be responsible for carrying out weekly and monthly Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance activities on the water systems across a range of buildings.

Role Overview

·  Responsible for accurately taking temperatures from sentinel and representative outlets monthly and recording the data in accordance to HSG274 Part 2.
·  Reporting of faults that pose risk to anyone using the facilities.
·  Assisting with flushing of outlets that are identified as infrequently used outlets on the water risk assessments.
·  Identifying areas of the system that are not in regular use or that may need removing (dead legs)
·  Perform maintenance checks on thermostatic mixing valves to meet the manufactures recommendations.
·  Service RPZ valves on incoming supplies in accordance with WRAS guidance and all current legislation (where fitted)
·  Dismantle, clean and descale removable parts, heads, inserts and hoses on showers and spray taps.
·  Carry out reactive repairs and alterations / installations as needed to domestic water systems, drainage and foul water systems
·  Maintain a range of sanitaryware within the designated buildings, carrying out repairs / replacements of assets and components where needed.
·  Support the wider Technical Compliance team with ad-hoc duties as required.
·  Hold Water DRP duties following the required training

What we are looking for:

·  Apprentice / NVQ trained with demonstrable previous experience essential
·  Must hold suitable qualifications covering Water Regulations
·  A full current UK driving licence is essential.
·  Previous experience with Water Compliance, Legionella Monitoring & Risk Assessments desirable
·  Knowledge of ACOP L8 or HSG274 Parts 1-3
·  Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
