Workplace Solutions are recruiting for x8 Painters to be based in Sizewell B Power Station, Nr Leiston, Suffolk IP16 4UR. These are on a temporary. full time basis working 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 14:00. On offer is a competitive salary.

We at Workplace are looking to recruit a skilled painter to carry out preparation and painting tasks  (water and oil based paints) both internally and externally on site via the use of brushes, rollers, etc. 

Main Duties: 

·  Work closely with other painters and supervisors – providing cover and support as required
·  Develop effective working relationships with appropriate parties
·  Ability to analyse data and plans to ensure accuracy 
·  Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are handled accurately and in time therefore ensuring we deliver a high standard of work to the business and client.
·  Identification and reporting of areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
·  Appropriate risk assessments undertaken on all work
·  Rectifies problems where appropriate (ensuring that the correct procedures are followed)
·  Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner
·  Interacting positively with the client and their representatives, proactively sharing information with others
·  Ensures work area is protected using appropriate barriers/signs

·  City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent method of training in Painting Course
·  PASMA/ICAT Qualified (Desirable but not essential) 
·  OR
·  Significant years relevant hands on painting experience  
·  Knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques used in the painting trade 
·  Awareness of risk assessments and working safely with equipment
·  Knowledge of preparation techniques and use of painting materials and tools
·  Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans & follow both verbal and written work instructions
·  Use and maintenance of the tools of the painting trade safely and skilfully
·  Ability to erect and work from ladders and scaffolds safely
·  Ability to safely work at height and in varying environments that may contain dust or fumes
