ENGIE are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Joiner to be based in Wyvern House, The Drumber, Winsord, CW7 1AU.

This is a permanent, full time role working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 and on offer will be a salary up to £26,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience.  This role will report into the Minor Works Team Leader.

The Minor Works Operative will ensure that the services provided are to the highest quality/standard with due recognition of client and customer requirements. They will plan and prioritise work within recognised safe systems and in accordance with all aspects of health and safety legislation. They will participate in a team approach to the allocation of duties, supporting and working effectively with colleagues to provide good working relationships within the service. 

The engineer should have completed certification to maintain and install fire doors and fire stopping works such as the Q-Mark fire door schemes or similar approved courses and be a time served joiner or have completed a suitably recognised apprenticeship.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

·  To carry out efficient and cost effective installation/repair and maintenance on Minor Works.
·  To interpret Design / Architects drawings, manufacturer specifications and instructions.
·  To repair/remove/replace/install a wide range of timber, plastic and composite products 
·  To carry out a wide range minor work plumbing/ drainage type tasks including Doc M compliance works, ensuring works are completed to British Standards and Local Byelaws.
·  To carry out a wide range minor work wet trades type tasks including brickwork/ plastering/ concrete repairs etc.
·  To comply with the requirements of the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) for Health and Safety.
·  To glaze doors and windows in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
·  To use hand power tools on site and woodworking machinery within the depot.
·  To carry out repair/modification/replacement within the Carpentry and Joinery Craft as instructed by the Minor Works Team Leader – Fab Tech.
·  To complete and submit appropriate documentation.
·  To ensure that standards and quality of work produced is in accordance with best practice and is fit for purpose.
·  Be involved in apprentice training.
·  The engineer should have completed certification to maintain and install fire doors and fire stopping works and will carryout FRA Remedial Works.
·  To carry out any other ad hoc duties as instructed by the Minor Works Team Leader – Fab Tech

Qualifications and experience required:

The engineer should have completed certification to maintain and install fire doors and fire stopping works such as the Q-Mark fire door schemes or similar approved courses and be a time served joiner or have completed a suitably recognised apprenticeship

·  Ability to work unsupervised and as a team member.
·  Ability to carry/erect/climb and regularly work on step ladders/ladders and scaffolding in accordance with safe systems of work.
·  Ability to work in confined spaces.
·  Ability to understand and carry out verbal/written instructions.
·  Ability to liaise and work with clients and members of the public
·  Ability to work in inclement weather
·  Ability to work overtime if required.
·  Ability to work out of hours including weekend/ evening.
·  Ability to travel between the depot and work locations.
·  Ability to assist the Team Leader in estimating timescales and materials required to allow accurate costing of works.
