Engie are recruiting for a Multi-Site Caretaker to be based in Mallard House Westfield Road Retford Nottinghamshire DN22 7BT . This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week (rotational shift system alternating between 05:30hrs to 14:00hrs and 11:30hrs to 20:00hrs with a 30 minute unpaid lunch breaks). On offer is a salary of £18,000 per annum.The role holder will report to Assistant Accounts Manager

• Ability to act quickly and prioritise workload to avoid penalties for over running allocated time thresholds; • Capable of removing, reducing risks; • Processing of paperwork, documents for work orders and tasks, requires: solid numeracy, literacy, ICT skills. • Administering the day to day maintenance of large modern educational buildings and leisure centres; • Proactive communication with school / leisure representatives; • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) duties; • Undertake reactive maintenance works; • Manage the stock and materials rotation, to meet the needs for PPMs and core duties; • Support emergency situations, such as fire evacuations, operate a fire panel/system; • Accept training as a First Aider; • Deploy efficient working methods; • Delivery and recording of statutory testing, such as: emergency lighting; fire alarm tests; • Undertaking general caretaking core duties, includes but not limited to: litter picking; removal of bodily fluid spillages; reactive cleaning; general maintenance: • Seek support from Supervisor, Managers, Technicians with complex problems, disputes, and / or specialist equipment, i.e. electrical systems;

•Experience of a proven track record of practical maintenance skills, such as joinery, decorating;
•Knowledge of commercial boilers; heating systems; water management;
•Physically fit, to enable such duties as: manual handling; working at height; mobility around large sites over various terrains; 
•Flexible approach: to provide occasional overtime, weekend cover for lettings and additional school use;
•Consistently wear the uniform, personal protective clothing provided.  Be well presented at all times;
•Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance is a prerequisite of the position.  ENGIE  will take up an enhanced DBS once an offer is made;
•You will need to use your own vehicle to travel between sites, as required, which must have with Business commuting insurance cover, in order for you to claim travel expenses
•Live within 20 mile radius of Retford/Worksop: to provide reactive and call out cover;
•The individual must have excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills, the ability to travel and possess a full clean driving licence. 
•The individual will have relevant practical experience and the flexibility to provide cover, provide assistance to other sites, for cover with leave for colleague’s holidays, sickness, training etc. as and when required. 

Essential is a full enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance upon taking up the position
