Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Officer to assist with the coordination and delivery of all comms activity, (including PR, marketing, awards, events, internal communications, branding) in line with the local, regional and Group strategies. This is a full time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week and will be based in Grimsby.

What will you deliver?

·  Work with service areas to lead on creating and delivering effective PR plans
·  Research, write, edit and gain approval for press releases
·  Respond to media enquiries, co-ordinating interviews and drafting statements etc.
·  Assist with coordination of internal events and exhibitions
·  Manage and monitor social media accounts created for partnership and contract use
·  Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level

Who are we looking for?

·  Qualification in marketing/PR/communications or similar (or equivalent relevant experience)
·  Experience and an understanding of local authorities would be an advantage, but not essential for the right candidate
·  Excellent standard of written English with accurate spelling and grammar
·  Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
·  High level of planning and organisational skills
·  Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email
·  Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided
·  Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
