Position Status: Regular, Full Time

Summary:
Under the responsibility of the Reliability & Improvement Manager, the Electrician is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the baggage handling systems and keeping them in good working conditions hoping to minimize the time the machines are out of service.
 

Responsabilities:

·  Perform maintenance, adjustments and electrical system repair tasks;
·  Perform electrical work in the building upon request;
·  Assist the technicians in their day-to-day work;
·  Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on various conveyor and material handling systems;
·  May be required to assist with system operations in emergency situations;Perform any other related duties, as requested by the Terminal Supervisor.
Requirements:

·  Journeyman Electrician Card from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Board of Electrician Examiners);
·  Understand generators;
·  Know the rules and regulations for the sector of activities;
·  Understand the demands of maintenance services;
·  Comfortable with customer service;
·  Familiar with electromechanical plans and preventive maintenance systems;
·  Apt to pass a medical exam;
·  Able to pass an OSHA training course;
·  Able to pass a technical skills exam;
·  Able to obtain a security clearance at the required level;
·  Valid driver's license;
·  3 years of experience in a similar environment.
Knowledge and skills required :

·  Electro-mechanical troubleshooting;
·  Material Handling and/or conveyer systems experience is a plus;
·  Health and Safety oriented;
·  Able to work in a semi-heated/cooled factory environment with moderate noise;
·  Team oriented;
·  Good judgment skills;
·  Quality performance oriented.
