Engie are recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant (Electrical) to be based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Mindelsohn Way, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2WB. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 0800 - 16:00. On offer is a salary banding of £18,000 - £20,448, dependent upon skills and experience.

General Overview:

Maintenance Assistants (MA) has an impact on the successful operation of the contract through delivery of maintenance in line with the service standards. Service delivery will be issued via the Helpdesk or line managers. MA’s will not control budgets will be able to raise orders but not able to approve orders.

MA’s will carry out fault finding and repairs within their skill set. Supervisors and managers will support and offer guidance and instruction for more complex faults.

Qualifications or Required Experience:


·  Previous appropriate working experience or training, in skills development, including the safe use of tools and equipment.
·  Experience in a building maintenance or industrial environment.
·  Experience in dealing with a range of work procedures and practices some of which are no-routine.
·  Understand requirements of working in an environment similar to that found in health care premises.
