ENGIE are recruiting for a Land and Partnerships Graduate to be based in Salford, M50 3BF, some travel to sites and meetings could be expected. This is a temporary role, for a minimum of 12 months, working Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 Friday 08:00 - 16:00. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Purpose of the Role:



To assist the land and development team in sourcing, appraising, progressing and acquiring residential land opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Duties will be varied but initially will concentrate on the appraisal of sites across the North West that have the potential for development. 
·  This will involve ascertaining ownership and exploring the opportunity to purchase land, assessing planning potential and identifying constraints to developing the land.
·  The candidate may also be involved in sites which are more advanced in terms of allowing the estimating team to finalise costs on a more detailed basis by feeding in a thorough breakdown of on-site parameters.
·  The candidate is likely to be involved with other departments within the Salford office. These could include but are not limited to; engineering, estimating, bid writing, commercial, quantity surveying, operations and site management, plus health & safety.
·  Reporting to the Head of Land & Development but will also be expected to work under the supervision of other heads of department as variances of assignments dictate.

What we are looking for:

·  Must have a passion for working within the field of Construction and in particular residential development.
·  Other than an academic awareness of the subject they must have a broader general knowledge and awareness of the industry and the current climate in relation to housing.
·  Must be a good communicator, take instruction well but be able to work independently once given a clear goal.
·  Confidence, professionalism and independent thinking are important characteristics for the candidate we are looking for.
·  Willingness to take on a variety of roles which may be beyond the scope of current comfort levels.
·  A proactive attitude and the ability to work to deadlines within a team environment.
·  Must have a construction or land related degree.
