Job description

The BU GENERATION EUROPE (BU GEN) is responsible for the management and operation of ENGIE's thermal generation activities in Europe (assets for natural gas, coal, biomass and large-scale cogeneration). With 2,400 employees, the business unit manages approximately 28 GW of generated power at 75 sites in 11 countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom). Our organisation is divided into four (4) clusters: Gas Benelux, Gas France & South Europe, Coal and European Maintenance Support (EMS) .

To meet the challenges of the energy transition, BU GEN wants to be a reliable supplier of renewable energy, based on the flexibility of our generating facilities, at a low cost price and with an acceptable CO2 footprint. At the same time, drawing on our strong technical expertise, we aim to serve large industrial customers by supplying integrated energy solutions and providing services.

In this context, our teams are committed to constantly optimising our generating facilities and to delivering the most competitively priced energy and services, with an offering on mature commodity markets and, in a bid to generate added value, by providing additional services to transmission system operators.

As part of EMS Equipment Solutions, Boiler, BoP and CHP Engineering constitute the Equipment Group, which provides expertise and long-term maintenance strategies for boilers, balance-of-plant equipment and CHP solutions, to add value to internal power plants and ENGIE's external customers.

Organisation/Reporting line:

·  submitting reports

·  playing a prominent role in developing and consolidating the knowledge about boilers, by managing internal feedback processes and participating in internal and external networks

·  you have a master's degree in mechanical engineering or the equivalent knowledge based on experience
·  you are fascinated by technology in the broad sense and are looking to build a long-term career in expertise and engineering
·  experience of the electricity sector, process industry and/or boiler design is a bonus
