Industrial Operative - Dungeness B Power Station

Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Industrial Operative to be based in Dungeness B Power Station, Romney Marsh, Kent, TN29 9PX. This is a permanent, full time role working 40 hours per week, 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary of £17,576 per annum

We at Workplace are looking to recruit an Industrial op to provide industrial cleaning services (cleaning of floors, plant areas, fixtures and fittings)
Additional duties include; the provision of pumping services, leak management, crane/hoist operation, forklift/tractor duties, rigging/slinging duties and road sweeper operation.  

Other Duties Include:

·  Work closely with other operatives and supervisors – providing cover and support as required
·  Develop effective working relationships with appropriate parties
·  Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are handled accurately and in time therefore ensuring we deliver a high standard of work to the business and client.
·  Identification and reporting of areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
·  Appropriate risk assessments undertaken on all work
·  Rectifies problems where appropriate (ensuring that the correct procedures are followed)
·  Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner
·  Interacting positively with the client and their representatives, proactively sharing information with others

·  NVQ level one or two in cleaning floors walls and fixtures and fittings (desirable but not essential)
·  Basic cleaning skills in an industrial environment
·  An intermediate knowledge of the health and safety requirements in a similar environment is essential, particularly in the use of hazardous substances and their controls.
·  Ability to communicate effectively with good attention to detail 
·  Enthusiastic and committed to provide a professional, high quality service to the Company and the client
·  Experience in the Industrial field is preferred
·  An energetic self-starter who has the ability to work well as part of a team
·  Ability to work to a high standard with minimum supervision
·  Basic PC skills are desirable
·  A flexible approach to working hours is essential due to the operational needs of the contract For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
