The Role: Human Resource Coordinator

 
Purpose

We are looking for a customer focused person, with a business oriented mindset, to join our Human Resources team in Houston, TX and partner with us as we transform to better serve our internal clients – our employees. 

 

The Human Resources Coordinator is an entry level position on our shared services team and is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical human resources activities in support of our clients (employees and managers) and our Human Resources Centers of Excellence, our in-house consultant team.

Essential Job Functions

·  Responsible for a variety of administrative duties and in support of one or more HR Centers of Excellence (COE) including Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, Employment practices, and/or Payroll.
·  Act as first point of contact for inquiries into HR from internal and external clients by providing a high level of professionalism and promptly responding in accordance with our service delivery model.
·  Responsible for data entry, verification, managing workflow, auditing, reporting within our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and our intranet platform to ensure highest level of data integrity.
·  Coordinate continuous improvement efforts in partnership within HR.
·  Administration and maintenance of assigned programs or projects in support of assigned COE.
·  May serve as project coordinator for HR projects and programs including task list tracking, meeting minutes, action item distribution, and status reports.
·  May assist in coordination of HR Team events, off-sites, meetings, lunches as part of the HR Team.
·  Other tasks include supporting required COE filings and compliance, COE vendor records, invoice processing, and performing other special projects as determined by the COE leader.
·  Handles all matters with the highest level of professionalism while working comfortably in fast paced and dynamic environment.
·  Performs other related duties as required.

·  Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both written and verbal.

·  Ensure high level of presenteeism.

 

Essential Physical Abilities

·  Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
·  Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
·  Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
·  Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
·  Could involve some lifting.

 

Education/Experience

·  Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field (Human Resources, Business Management, etc.).
·  Two to five years’ experience in Human Resources or customer facing administrative type role.
·  Highly proficient in MS Office/Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
·  Experience with HRIS systems required. 
·  HR shared services experience a plus.
