Job description

Engie are recruiting for Housekeepers x 20 to be based in Luton & Dunstable LU4 0DZ. This is a casual role working various hours per week (at £7.86 per hour). The role holder will report to Domestic Supervisor and will provide a clean, safe and hygienic service for patients, staff and visitors of the hospital. Endeavouring at all times to ensure a high quality service while respecting patients’ rights to privacy and confidentiality.

•Maintain a high standard of personal and general food hygiene as well as high standards of cleanliness in work areas
•Receipt and storage of all food products
•Receipt and regeneration of Cook Freeze meals following guidance and instructions provided
•Collating patients meal requests using electronic tablet or paper based menus
•Plating and serving of meals at agreed times, delivery and service of beverages at agreed times
•Completion of all HACCP paperwork in conjunction with Contractual and Food Management System’s (FSMS) requirements
•Use of dishwasher within designated area of work
•Preparation of patients meals trays
•Ensure Ward Kitchens are adequately stocked (but not over stocked) and requisitions are completed 
•Recording of plate waste either via electronic tablet or paper based system
•Taking and recording of food temperatures in accordance with legislation and the FSMS
•Taking and recording of fridge and freezer temperatures (where appropriate) following legislation and the FSMS
•Cleaning of all equipment, crockery, cutlery associated with the service delivery
•Appropriate disposal of general and food waste
•Ensure equipment is stored and maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
•Report the need for equipment, structural and fabric repairs. 
•Assist with stock replenishment for wards/departments.
