Engineering Graduate Scheme

The world around us is changing rapidly, transforming the way people access and consume energy and placing an increasing demand on a growing services sector.  We’re looking for the next generation of leaders who will continue to innovate across the different areas of our business and as an ENGIE graduate you will have the exciting opportunity to experience the diverse and exciting world of the UK’s biggest services and energy company.

Starting in September 2019, all our graduate schemes begin with a one-week induction at the start of your first placement. During the rest of your scheme, you will work across our business in a variety of placements, combining operational and functional roles within your chosen area. You will need to be fully mobile as the placements could be based anywhere within the UK.

ENGIE are recruiting for Engineering Graduates to work throughout the UK. This is a fixed term (2 years) full time role working 37.5 hours per week, but we fully anticipate all graduates will remain with us in permanent roles on completion of their scheme. On offer is a competitive salary £26,000 per annum (increasing to £28,000 in the second year) and company benefits package.

This scheme consists of regular rotations over a four year programme.

 

In your first two year you will gain experience at multiple locations, such as one of the power stations we support, ensuring efficient running of our energy centre at the Olympic Park, working alongside our pioneers at the UK’s first solar park or helping to maintain the critical assets at Europe’s biggest hospital.

 

In your second two years you will be placed in to roles that increase in responsibility, in technical or project roles where you can really put your skills to the test whilst working towards an accredited status.

You will be dealing with management issues from day one, learning from those around you and developing into a high quality manager. Qualifications or Required Experience:

Essential
·  A genuine interest in our industry and your chosen area, and a passion for delivering real change in the communities we serve
·  A flexible approach to work (you will be required to relocate across the duration of your scheme)
·  Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others at all levels
·  A team focus with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels
·  A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative
·  Well-developed emotional intelligence and self-awareness
Desirable
·  Previous leadership experience (either through work or through extra-curricular activities)
·  Previous work experience, ideally within a relevant field
·  Previous customer services experience
·  A full UK driving licence
