Junior Mobility Consultant

 
 
Your function
 

You form part of a dynamic team of mobility experts involved in transport planning, simulations and traffic control. You also participate as a mobility consultant in multidisciplinary projects and complex studies, working within an integrated team of mobility experts, urban planners, developers and architects.

In the role of Junior Consultant, you take part in a range of (multidisciplinary) mobility projects calling on various areas of expertise such as transport infrastructure design and road planning, traffic and flow studies, public transport, parking management, accessibility studies, environmental impact reports and assessments, road safety and prospective studies.
You have a special interest in public transport systems (strategy for urban transport networks, operation of public transport, urban and/or rail networks). Knowledge of this field would also be appreciated.
In addition, some knowledge and potentially experience of traffic/travel simulations would be an asset.

Your main tasks will be as follows:
·  acting as a junior mobility consultant for standalone projects and the mobility component of multidisciplinary projects;
·  providing general support to the Mobility team.

·  You are preferably an (industrial) engineer, master planner or architect;
·  You have preferably one or two years' experience of a traffic management and transport planning consultant role, preferably in an engineering firm;
·  You enjoy working in a team and have coordination experience. You also have good communication and organisational skills and a keen sense of initiative;
·  You are eager to learn and proactive in performing your tasks;
·  You have a commercial focus and enjoy forging and nurturing relations with public authorities, architects, urban planners and other partners;
·  You are very flexible and are able to work independently;
·  You are fully fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and have a good knowledge of English, while knowledge of French would also be an advantage. You are proficient in standard IT tools.
