ENGIE are recruiting for a Estimating Quantity Surveyor to be based in Wath, S63 7ER. This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance  and benefits package.

Purpose of the Role:



To take responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful creation of Bills of Quantities within restricted tender timetables

Develop effective solutions to enable construction schemes to be priced by the Estimating Department and their Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities:

·  Creation of Accurate Bills of Quantities
·  Utilisation of cut and fill software
·  Report to tender team on potential value engineering
·  Maintain in house take off package for superstructures
·  Understand SMM&, NRM3 and any new revisions
·  Maintain good relationships with the Estimators
·  Help sense check External Consultants BQ’s
·  Develop in house systems to help speedy assessment / take offs of various construction elements
·  Attend tender review meetings to explain take off methodology and assumptions
·  Attend project and company related meetings
·  Ensure the company is neither compromised nor disadvantaged by any actions taken
·  Be responsible for your safety and others around you
·  Assisting the development and training of trainee and assistant surveyors/estimators
·  Maintain and develop professional relationships with the Clients and Subcontractors to help future business development
·  Help build relationships with Architects, External Quantity Surveyors and other associated consultants
·  Assist in formulating bid strategy/qualifications
·  Assist in the training of junior staff
·  On secured projects prepare information for handover to the contract team
·  Check tender documentation
·  Any other reasonable management request

·  IT skills – MS Office, Excel, Project, Word Conquest Take off and Earth Works Software etc
Experience

·  Industry experience in the role of a Quantity Surveyor/Scheduler or similar role
