Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for an Energy Services Bid Writer to be based in Leeds. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary.


The purpose of the role is to support in the management of energy services bids, reporting, marketing liaison and general administration to the rest of the team. 

The role supports the growth of Energy Services in Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector by supporting the team in winning new business and through engagement with the wider business.

·  To support the management of Energy Services related bids for projects and consultancy
·  Co-ordinating accurate and timely responses Requests for Information (RFI)
·  Analyse prequalification and tender documents, manage the production of tender submissions and ensuring accuracy of completed documents.
·  Coordination of team and customer liaison throughout the entire bidding process
·  Co-ordinate negotiation of commercial documents with Clients
·  Management of business development tools used by the Energy and Sustainability team, e.g. pipeline tracker, Salesforce, business development subscriptions and software
·  Co-ordinating the creation and document control of template documents
·  General administration support for the Energy and Sustainability Team
Knowledge and skills:

·  Extensive knowledge of tender bid processes and governance procedures
·  Working knowledge of the Energy and Services industry
·  Excellent project management skills demonstrated from experience
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
·  Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
·  Able to solve problems, relative to the role

·  Qualified to GCSE level (or equivalent)
·  Project and/or Bid Management qualifications
·  Business Administration qualifications
·  Experience in sales and bid processes for Energy related technical projects and services
·  Bid writing experience
·  Bid management experience
·  Some experience in developing energy services related marketing material
