Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for an Energy Analyst to be based within the Urban Energy Team in Kings Yard, London (with some UK travel). This is a permanent, full time role, working 37.5 hours a week. On offer is a salary of £30,000 to £40,000, dependent upon skills and experience.

As the UK’s leading district energy company, we operate some of the largest and most technically demanding district energy schemes which serve users in public, commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

For over 30 years, ENGIE has gained extensive expertise in the provision of district energy networks across cities and urban areas throughout the country.

The successful candidate will work within the Asset Intelligence Team under the direction of the Senior Energy Manager; who will support and develop the right candidate to become a leading industry specialist in this area.

In this role you will be a central player in the day to day energy analysis activities of the business supporting operations and engineering offering a varied and dynamic role.

What is your Day to Day:

·  Measure, monitor and report on plant physical performance
·  Investigate and improve all system losses
·  Measure, monitor and report on plant financial performance
·  Identify energy savings opportunities
·  Work in conjunction with Asset Intelligence team on options and technology to improve efficiency Calculate and generate sales Invoices to customers
·  First line response with customer account queries
·  Create and maintain consumer energy profiles

About you:

·  Motivated and professional energy analyst who wishes to commit to a role which will provide both opportunity and challenge
·  Qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent Engineering Discipline
·  An understanding of the principals of district energy and CHP
·  Heating and cooling system design including a range of generation system (CHP, Biomass, Boilers etc..) would be an advantage
·  Knowledge of energy software (e.g. Energy Pro) would be an advantage
·  Must be both positive and proactive when approaching all tasks
·  Demonstrable competence in the use of Microsoft Excel is essential
·  Knowledge of Controls, VSDs and Metering Systems would be an advantage
·  Member of a professional Institute and working towards chartership would be an advantage
