Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Electrician to be based in  London, SE1 7SR. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. This role will report in to the Account Manager.

The working hours will be 2 weeks of 07:00am - 16:00pm then 2 weeks of 10:00am - 19:00pm. There is also the requirement to work a 1 in 4 weekend rota for weekend PPM maintenance and emergency site call outs.

This role assists engineers on site, carries out PPM’s, maintenance and reactive tasks. This role acts as a development opportunity to allow the individual to work towards technician/engineer qualifications. Basic building management knowledge is essential and the individual must have good communication skills as the individual has to communicate with the client on a daily basis.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

·  Be presentable and have a good telephone manner as contact will not only be customer but public facing as well. React to breakdowns and changing priorities, have a can do attitude and flexible approach to work requests
·  Play a key role in ensuring that LV and HV requirements of the site are being met and that all works are completed to a high standard
·  There is continuous communication with the client on a day to day basis
·  This role involves working in a small team, often working together to carry out tasks
·  This role is very customer facing, in terms of interactions with the client and the various users of the building. Building users should feel happy to approach and ask questions
·  This role involves a lot of self-governance, ensuring all work is all carried out within the working week. Time management and planning as to when and how activities fit into the working week is essential
·  This role involves self-motivation and motivation of others. Self-Motivation works hand in hand with self-governance, as the individual has their own work to get through, they must maintain motivation to finish all their tasks, and complete them to a high standard. The large amount of team work involved in this role means that motivating others becomes a key skill, as every member of the team need to be motivated to complete the tasks
·  Resolving maintenance and reactive issues, requires a high level of problem solving due to the complexity of the systems

Qualifications or Required Experience:

·  City & Guilds Level 3 17th edition or recognised equivalent qualification with proven competency
·  City & Guilds Electrical Installation part 1 & 2 
·  City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection
·  Substantial experience in Electrical Maintenance and Electrical Installations
·  Good building services and systems knowledge
·  First aid trained (preferable but not essential)
·  Operation and interrogation of BMS
