Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer (Shift) to be based in Case New Holland, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon, Essex SS14 3AD. This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours per week.  On offer is a competitive salary.


Working on a shift pattern as follows:

Week 1 - 06:00 to 14:00
Week 2 - 07:00 to 15:00
Week 3 - 14:00 to 22:00 (Monday to Tuesday)
Also required to cover emergency call out, 1 week in 9

General Overview:

To assist in delivering reactive and PPM’s with regards to Electrical systems within an office and Factory environment.

Main Responsibilities:

·  To operate, diagnose faults, maintain agreed Electrical plant and equipment as per contractual requirement
·  To be part of a team covering 3 Shift 0600hrs to 2200hrs pattern ensuring all operations, maintenance and repair works are carried out in good time.
·  Role requires flexibility
·  Ensuring that the Engineering Manager is fully informed of works carried out onsite including all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and customer circumstances which may impact the safety, efficiency, reliability and cost-effective operation of the plant.
·  To work with our CAFM system with respect to PPM’s and Reactive works and use PDA’s completing tasks and actioning issues
·  Provide support and knowledge to contractors working on site
·  To assist the Engineering Manager with the preparation of extra to contract works including documentation and appraise proposals for both minor and major projects
·  Support and demonstrate self-motivation and work to tight deadlines
·  Working at height, within confined spaces and working to contracted flexibility requirement
·  Maintains a good working relationship with Customer Representatives

·  Experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment
·  Basic Computer skills including Word, Excel, CAFM and finance packages
·  Health & Safety experience
