ENGIE are recruiting for a Debt Recovery Co-ordinator to be based in Leeds (LS12 1BE). This is a 6 month secondment or fixed-term contract which involves working full-time hours. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Purpose of the Job
The post-holder will be responsible for the management of overdue debt through the internal and external legal process.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare full letters of claim chasing overdue debt
Manage the full legal process with internal and external solicitors to recover overdue debt
Act as main point of contact for external solicitors' queries in respect of claims
Control expenditure related to engaging external solicitors
Manage the money claim online process
Management of insolvency paperwork
Liaise with customers and their representatives in order to expedite the claim process and where possible recover the full outstanding debt or where appropriate achieve settlement of outstanding debt
Work alongside internal legal team on higher value money claims
Liaise with management in order to approve settlements and write-offs.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
Solid organisational skills to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks
Proven ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
Strong people skills to work with colleagues at all levels and difficult customers
IT literate in MS Office in particular Word, Excel (including the ability to use Vlookups or the ability to learn about them quickly) and Outlook
Desirable
A Level educated or equivalent
Practical experience of working in a legal practice and/or working in a collections department
Understanding of the legal claims process
Knowledge and experience of the energy industry
