Engie are recruiting for a Caretaker to be based in Woodlands Academy Partney Road Spilsby Lincolnshire
PE23 5EJ. This is a zero hours role (at £10 per hour). 
The role holder will report to the Technical Manager  
General Overview:  
•An opportunity has arisen within the Lincolnshire Schools PFI contract for a caretaker at Woodlands Academy, for a self-motivated, flexible, pro-active individual.  
•This individual must be prepared to work at other locations, depending on the business needs (all additional travel expenses will be covered). 
•The role provides support across several education facilities where ENGIE provide services such as: maintenance; cleaning; porterage; and maintenance of the external site, including preparations for seasonal changes to the outside areas.  
•This role expects you to be a key holder and to deliver the full range of caretaking, maintenance, and cleaning duties, with responsibility of securing the site.  You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills. 
•The individual should be smart in appearance and have good organisational, administrative and communication skills.
•Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) duties;
•Undertake reactive maintenance works; 
•Manage the stock and materials rotation, to meet the needs for PPMs and core duties;
•Support emergency situations, such as fire evacuations, operate a fire panel/system;
•Delivery and recording of statutory testing, such as: emergency lighting; fire alarm tests;
•Undertaking general caretaking core duties, includes but not limited to: litter picking; removal of bodily fluid spillages; cleaning; general maintenance: porterage of curriculum materials around site
•Seek support from Supervisor, Managers, Technicians with complex problems, disputes, and / or specialist equipment, i.e. electrical systems;
•Demonstrate experience of practical maintenance skills, such as joinery, decorating;
•Physically fit, to enable such duties as: manual handling; working at height; mobility around large sites 
over various terrains;

•Live within 10 mile radius of Sleaford: to provide reactive and call out cover;
•Flexible approach: to provide occasional overtime, weekend cover for lettings and additional school use;
•Consistently wear the uniform, personal protective clothing provided.  Be well presented at all times;
•Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced clearance is a prerequisite of the position.  ENGIE will take up an enhanced DBS once an offer is made;

•Cautions, reprimands and warnings help on the police national computer for England and Wales,
•Relevant convictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland may be included,
•Checks against the Children’s and Vulnerable adults barring list,
•Additional checks for relevant information held by the local police forces for the position being applied for.
