ENGIE are recruiting for a Business Analyst (I&S) to be based at Engie No 1 Leeds, 26 Whitehall Road, Leeds LS12 1BE  or Home-based(to be agreed with the right candidate). This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £30,000 - £33,000, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

General Overview: 
ENGIE UK is leading the way in the provision of innovative services and sustainable energy solutions for our customers.  We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst, to support the continuous development of new solutions within our central Innovation and Solutions team.  The role can be home or Leeds based, to be agreed with the right candidate.

Main Duties / Accountability:
The role of the Business Analyst (Innovation and Solutions) includes:

·  Supporting the Innovation and Solutions team to develop value-adding innovative business solutions:
·  Working closely with key internal stakeholders to understand business and solution requirements, including through workshop and ideation sessions
·  Undertake and evaluate relevant market research and analysis to support the development of new business areas, solutions and products
·  Development of new solutions that deliver value for our customers, working with business development and account management functions, taking into account commercial, technical and financial drivers
·  Supporting the wider business development team in respect of solutions for new business 
·  Working with operational staff to ensure that operational needs are understood and captured in any new solution
·  Identifying and developing opportunities for continual improvement of team processes
Project management/support:

·  Supporting the programme management of ENGIE’s ‘Strategic Growth Programmes’ and related projects, where required
·  Researching, analyzing and maintaining ENGIE’s grant funding database and associated external funding tracking processes
·  Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the performance of the wider solutions programme
·  Ensuring that business requirements for new products and innovations are clearly defined within business cases 
·  Involvement in some elements of solution implementation – e.g. prototyping, test specification, user acceptance testing (where appropriate)
·  Defining and reviewing the realisation of business benefits, exploiting current capabilities and considering whole-life costs
·  Supporting continuous improvement 
Dimensions of job:

·  No direct reports
·  Supporting dispersed colleagues across multiple locations (London/Leeds)
·  Travelling to team meetings where required

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:
Knowledge and skills:

·  Proven organisational and planning ability - good at working under pressure and to tight deadlines
·  Strong analytical skills, including an excellent understanding of data analysis software (including MS Excel) 
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
·  Good team working, engagement and influencing skills
·  Energy and resilience
·  Good attention to detail, making sure all outputs are of a high quality
·  Personal responsibility for own tasks, establishing priorities and making sure things are completed in a timely manner

Experience: 

·  The job holder will have:
·  Proven experience working in a similar role, ideally in the energy/services sector
·  Proven relationship management working across teams
·  Commercial and customer focus
·  A minimum of 3 year’s relevant work experience
Qualifications: 

·  Technical degree (STEM) or relevant work experience  For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. There is no re-location package with this job role.
