Job description



ENGIE are recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Manager for a period of 12 months to provide Maternity leave cover. The role will be based in Wardle Academy, Rochdale. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The Assistant Commercial Manager will be responsible for undertaking and leading a wide range of projects in relation to the Commercial function for ENGIE and will report to the Senior Commercial Manager responsible an operating unit within the Public sector.

These activities will include:

• Preparation of Key Deliverables and associated audits

• Sub Contract reviews and management

• Contractual review support for bidding

• Financial modelling support for bidding

• Provision of operational advice and support

• Performance Measurement reporting

• Commercial Library and Sharepoint management

• Collation of commercial templates and reporting

• Risk Management reporting

• Management of critical subcontractors

• Ethos development

• Data Analysis and management

• General commercial support

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

• Suitable commercial experience within a similar industry sector

• Educated to degree / diploma level.

• Desire to become a member of a chartered institution.

• Excellent communicator

• Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy

• Experience of negotiation with internal and external stakeholders at various levels on commercial issues

• Understanding of risk analysis/management

• PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word and advanced Excel skills and / or visual basic experience

• Thorough knowledge and experience of Business Assurance systems.
