Apprentice Multi Trades Person

ENGIE are recruiting for an Apprentice Multi Trades Person to be based in Northampton, NN5 5JW. This is a 2 year fixed term role working 40 hours per week. The training will be on day release, 1 day a week in college, based at Rugby College (part of Warwickshire College Group), Technology Drive, Rugby, CV21 1AR or Tresham College, Oakley Road, Corby, NN17 1NE and 4 days in role. You will arrive at the Westbridge Road depot and go out to jobs with a mentor in the mentors company van.

The purpose of this role is to become a fully trained Multi Trader to the standard laid down by the C.I.T.B. and Trade Unions and achieve the National Vocational Qualification NVQ2. To Understand, implement and adhere to ENGIE SHEQ requirements.

Key Responsibilities: 

·  To assist and carry out project defined multi trade work to a high standard as directed by the Site Manager; including Plastering, Bricklaying, Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Painting and Decorating 
·  To achieve all units laid down by the C.I.T.B. National Vocational Qualifications to achieve a standard in multi trades acceptable to the company
·  Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation
·  To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures
·  This role does involve lifting, bending, kneeling and use of tools and machinery
·  Material co-ordination
·  Adhere to Company quality standards to include: 
·  Compliance with specification / Compliance with materials and workmanship
·  To attend all relevant training courses including all SHEQ courses arranged by the employer including Tool Box Talks
·  Making repairs and restoring damaged parts
·  Maintain and care for all company tools
·  Wear appropriate clothing and PPE specific to tasks
·  Ensure all areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the working day
