Purpose

The Apprentice will assist the Electrician Inside Wireman Journeyman in the Preventive Maintenance, minor troubleshooting, functional testing, and software of various electronic building automation and special Photo Voltaic (PV) systems. Apprentice will work alongside and in constant line of sight of ENGIE Services U.S. Journeyman.

Essential Job Functions

·  Electrical apprentices can inspect equipment, clean and take photos to assist in completing maintenance scope of work
·  Apprentices are not to work on energized equipment.
·  Complete enrollment in an apprenticeship program and maintain good standing
·  Safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the field electrical trades
·  Other tasks as assigned by Journeyman

Requirements

·  Basic electrical understanding, ability to safely work on a ladder
·  Must follow specific method of procedures as reviewed daily with our Journeyman supervisor
·  Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
·  Strong presentation skills
·  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office
·  Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
·  Must be Certified as an Apprentice with DIR

Essential Physical Abilities

·  Work outdoors
·  Ability to Travel  90%  of the time
·  Able to life 50lbs, bend, stand, climb ladders, and walk
·  Ability to get from office to off site customers

Education/Experience

Required:

·  Must be a State Registered Apprentice
·  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
·  High School Diploma/ G.E.D
·  < 1 year of experience

Preferred:

·  Experience or education credits in Solar Photovoltaic systems.

Working Environment

·  Ability to Travel 90% of the time
·  Operate smart phone, laptop, camera equipment to document maintenance report items.
·  Works alongside in constant line of sight of Engie onsite Supervisor Journeyman
·  Frequently communicates with employees and customers
·  Normal Office Environment and Field Environment, may be exposed to different weather elements
